Position Overview:
Are you prepared to take on the role of Reimbursement Specialist? In this position, you'll play a crucial role in billing and revenue cycle management. Are you excited about investigating insurance benefits, coordinating reimbursement, and facilitating access solutions for patients?

Key Responsibilities:
Are you eager to interpret patient insurance and health-related documentation accurately? You'll conduct medical insurance verifications and investigations for various payors. Are you ready to communicate effectively with insurance companies, patients, providers, and prescribers to coordinate reimbursement and access solutions?

Problem Solving and Coordination:
Are you skilled at problem-solving and coordinating care? You'll review unpaid accounts, ensure claims compliance and completeness, and research alternative funding options to reduce patients' financial burden. Are you prepared to handle high call volumes and collaborate with internal and external departments to facilitate care coordination?

Compliance and Confidentiality:
Do you prioritize compliance and confidentiality? You'll adhere to Medicare, Medicaid, and HIPAA regulations, maintaining a high degree of confidentiality at all times. Are you committed to upholding regulations, policies, procedures, and standards while representing our organization professionally?

Qualifications and Competencies:
Are you ready to join us? To be successful in this role, you'll need:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent; an undergraduate degree is preferred.
  • Experience in Medical Billing, Accounts Receivables, and/or Collections within a healthcare or insurance environment is preferred.
  • Quick and accurate alpha/numeric data entry skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and web-enabled applications.
  • Customer service skills and a solid understanding of Medicaid, Medicare, and Insurance billing requirements.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, coupled with exceptional organizational and follow-through abilities.
  • The ability to work independently and in a team environment, demonstrating team behavior and promoting a collaborative atmosphere.
