Description:A fun and growing company with a great culture in Boca Raton is looking for a Sr Accountant to join their team.
 
The Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing the general ledger, managing accounting close processes, conducting financial reporting and profitability analyses, and handling assigned special projects. The position operates within stringent deadlines and encompasses various accounting tasks, such as general ledger entries, reconciliations, roll-forwards, variance analyses, financial statement preparation and review, and the development of managerial reports.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Ensure accurate and timely recording of entries in the general ledger, overseeing tasks such as account reconciliations, roll-forwards, and variance analyses.
• Supervise the month-end close process to guarantee the punctual and precise preparation of monthly financial statements, reports, and records, involving the collection, analysis, and summarization of account information within designated deadlines.
• Review reconciliations of bank statements.
• Collaborate effectively and communicate proficiently with employees at all levels throughout the company.
• Identify and implement new procedures and processes in an environment that is constantly changing and expanding.
• Undertake special projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience, & Skills)
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required
• Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience in public accounting and/or a large corporation
• Familiarity and exposure to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), including the ability to research and apply GAAP principles
• Working knowledge of financial statement preparation and presentation
• Ability to multitask and thrive under pressure
• Proficient in identifying and implementing process improvements
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
