POSITION SUMMARY:

The Senior Accountant oversees core accounting operations and ensures the integrity of financial transactions and reporting. This role is responsible for account reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger, managing the month-end close process, and supporting accurate, timely financial reporting.



 



ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:




  • Oversee and review accounts payable and receivable activities.

  • Analyze financial data and prepare reports on the company’s financial performance.

  • Deliver accurate and timely financial reports to executive leadership.

  • Identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements to accounting systems and processes.

  • Provide guidance to staff on accounting controls and procedures.

  • Supervise accounting staff, including assigning work and managing priorities.

  • Contribute to forecasting and financial planning initiatives.

  • Support month-end and year-end close processes and departmental goal setting.

  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and budgets.

  • Coordinate and support internal and external audits, including tax-related matters.

  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies.

  • Collaborate with finance leadership to enhance overall financial operations.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned.



QUALIFICATIONS:




  • Full-time availability (Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA preferred

  • 3+ years of experience in a Senior Accountant, Accounting Supervisor, or similar role

  • Strong knowledge of general accounting procedures and month-end/year-end close processes

  • Solid understanding of GAAP

  • Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, FreshBooks, or similar platforms)

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

  • Strong analytical skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
