About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Accounting Manager / Accounting Leader specializing in Commercial Real Estate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in property accounting and financial leadership, with the ability to manage and mentor accounting teams efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations specific to commercial real estate portfolios.


• Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance.


• Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and budgets related to commercial properties.


• Coordinate with property management and finance teams to ensure timely reporting and resolution of accounting issues.


• Lead, mentor, and develop accounting staff to enhance team performance.


• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry-specific accounting standards.


• Collaborate with external auditors and tax advisors as needed.



Qualifications





• 6-10 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in commercial real estate.


• Strong knowledge of GAAP and real estate accounting principles.


• Proven leadership and team management skills.


• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.


• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office suite.


• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or similar certification preferred.
