Project Manager

Aircraft Seat experience, Pro/Engineer, Lead experience

Supervises designs of seats and seat components. Supervises completion and release of engineering documents: parts list and engineering drawings. Coordinates the engineering of a project with the airframe manufacturer and the customer. Provides leadership for the assigned projects by leading the engineering team and by providing necessary guidance to other teams (protoshop, certification, etc.). Responsible for total quality on time output of the project team and designs. Attends necessary meetings, e.g., Preliminary Design Reviews (PDR), Critical Design Reviews (CDR) and first article inspections (FAI). Coordinates and supervises completion of the required resolutions that result from these meetings.

Coordinates project completion with the affected groups: R & D, certification, testing, materials and processing, electrical, purchasing, fabrication, manufacturing, prototype shop, etc. Checks engineering drawings, as required, to ensure proper compliance. Provides direction to designers and electrical engineers. Trains engineering personnel in the specialized aspects of the product.
Liaison with quality assurance and manufacturing departments to disposition of non-conforming articles. Provides and maintains engineering schedules, status reports, work load capacity, EDR submittals and tollgate information.

Initiates and documents the following items:

•Design reviews with all applicable departments.
•Finite Element Analysis (FEA) on critical parts.
•Proto request for parts.
•Test request.
•Weight reports
•Advanced Material Lists (AML) and Common Parts List (CPL)
•Identify long lead time parts

Supervisory functions:
Performance Reviews, Disciplinary Action, Vacation approval, Provides engineering support to all departments. Responsible for the overall quality of the designs and drawings. Traveling domestic and/or international might be required.

Qualifications
Knowledge and skills:
Must have extensive technological knowledge of all phases of engineering applicable to the seat products and basic knowledge of CAD systems. Must be cognizant of the current standards of the aircraft industry and warrant specifications including FAA and EASA rules applicable to the product.
Requires aircraft interior product structural experience in sheet metal, machining, and composite design. Must have manufacturing interface experience with the total company capabilities in processes and controls. Must be able to function as part of a design team. Must possess good planning and prioritizing skills.

Education and/or Experience:
B.S. in Mechanical or Aerospace or Aeronautical Engineering.
Seven years of related design experience and at least three years of supervisory experience required.
Pro/Engineer experience

Avionics Software Test Engineer

Working knowledge of Flight Management Systems, DOORs Requirements Management Tool, experience developing S/W test descriptions, and script creation.

Candidates will be required to develop Software Test Description, manage the automated script development and execute the ATE S/W FQT test program. Candidate must have a working knowledge of Flight Management Systems, DOORs Requirements Management Tool, experience developing S/W test descriptions, and script creation.

Systems Specification Engineer

Development and maintenance of subsystem and component specifications for Propulsion, Fuel, Environmental Control and Auxiliary Power systems hardwar

The candidate will be responsible for the development and maintenance of subsystem and component specifications for Propulsion, Fuel, Environmental Control and Auxiliary Power systems hardware. The candidate will develop knowledge to support the requirement development, flow down and the verification of these systems for the CH-53K aircraft.
Experience with Military Specifications (system and aircraft level) and Microsoft Office is required. Experience with DOORS is preferred.

Ground Test Engineer

Ground Test Experience

Ground Test Engineers needed to support several programs.Responsible for projects within these programs with significant scope and complexity covering all aspects of Ground Testing helicopter components and systems. Requires application of all Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering disciplines to a wide variety of technical problems. Typical tasks include detailed test planning, coordination with internal and external customers, test conduct, use of computer data analysis tools, and generation of test plans and reports. Ground Test Engineers are responsible for final conclusions and recommendations on the performance, safety, qualification, and adequacy of tested components and systems. This process may involve test and evaluation of components, assemblies and systems including main and tail rotor dynamic components, rotor drive systems, flight control systems, fuel systems, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, mission equipment, and airframe structure. Test programs typically involve full scale fatigue and static evaluations of dynamic components, main and tail rotor whirl tests, airframe static tests, airframe shake tests, dynamic stability, component testing, and the evaluation of aircraft system level performance prior to flight. Tasks also include the development and implementation of test procedures used to validate the performance of installed aircraft systems and components during final assembly, supporting and establishing operating limitations for both flight test programs and fielded aircraft, and oversight of supplier performed component qualification efforts.

Requires a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Engineering Technology.

Stress Engineer

Interiors and secondary structures experience, NASTRAN, PATRAN, hand calculations

Mechanical Design Engineer

Designs complex mechanical aircraft interior furnishing, structures, and/or systems.

Education, Experience & Certification

Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in engineering, minimum of 5 years relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Must qualify as a US Persons.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
• Computer Aided Drafting/Design (AutoCAD required).
• Aviation background and aircraft interior experience required.
• Knowledge of industry design and documentation standards.
• Experience with mechanical assemblies and manufacturing technique design.

Stress Engineer - Interiors

Summary
Performs stress analysis of complex interior, system and structural installations. Able to derive specific installation requirements from FAA and customer requirements; determine critical loads and substantiation path for installations, assemblies, and details.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Completes stress analysis documents to meet Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) requirements, budget, and project schedules.
• Creates preliminary and backup analysis documentation as required.
• Identifies data requirements.
• Provides guidance and feedback to other Stress Engineers.
• May perform as functional “Lead” for stress team on specific project(s).
• Utilizes classical analysis methods; NASTRAN modeling and FEMAP.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Summary of Education, Experience & Certification
Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in engineering, or equivalent; minimum 4 years experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Lead Electrical Engineer

Must have Lead Experience and background in electrical design integration of cabin management system, power distribution, entertainment (IFE) and miscellaneous aircraft cabin systems. AutoCAD and CATIA.

Bachelor's Degree Required.

Design Engineer

SUMMARY

Design coordination of aircraft interior components. Coordinates between various customers and vendors. Interfaces with Program Manager on project development and design progress. Must be proficient with Pro/E Wildfire OR CATIA V5.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

A) Confers with customers and vendors on conceptual configuration and initial design requirements for various new and on-going aircraft interiors programs.
B) Reviews design specifications and incorporates into assigned product.
C) Prepares lay-outs of overall design task including structural and articulation systems.
D) Defines design standards to maintain commonality with existing product line.
E) Defines and sets goals as to complete tasks as expeditiously as possible.
F) Prepares advanced bill of materials and long-lead item list.
G) Review design package to assure conformance to latest specifications and regulations.
H) Prepares drawings for release.
I) Assumes liaison duties when product reaches the various manufacturing stages.

EDUCATION

Must have a B.S. in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering. At least five years related design experience required.

Quality Process Engineer - Fabrication

Experience supporting high volume metal stamping, machining , and plastic
thermoforming.


Familiarity with AS9100 and FAA part 21 requirements
for manufacturing . (OEM manufacturing Environment) Ability to read
mechanical drawings and specifications, excellent verbal and written
communication skills. Must be able to work seamlessly cross-functionally
with peers in Manufacturing Engineering, Design Engineering, and Quality to
rapidly resolve quality issues. Must understand root cause and corrective
action processes. Six Sigma Greenbelt or greater skills (Blackbelt)
desirable. Requires Technical Degree.

Engineer

Familiarity with modern avionics architectures, components and system engineering processes is preferred. Technical areas of primary interest include avionics architecture and requirements, acceptance test procedure development, and avionics laboritory design, for both military and civil applications. Tasks include all aspects of avionics integration, including requirements analysis and allocation, supplier technical management, system/subsystem design, integration, and verification.

Systems Integration Engineer

Certification Engineer

Develop and execute certification programs. Familiar with FAR 21, 23 and 25
Ability to work alone or with FAA designees in developing cert basis and certification plans.
Interface with regulatory agencies (FAA/EASA/Other) for coordination and approvals.
Liaison with airlines, FAA/EASA and suppliers to ensure timely project completion.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date certification records.
Develop tools, as necessary, to track deliverables, testing, compliance findings, to assure on-time completion of the project.
Reduce risks on programs by providing Risk Management reviews and surfacing issues real-time and providing risk assessment impact.
Manage Vendor testing and adherence to schedule to support final certification.

Education and Technical
Four year degree in Aerospace or Mechanical engineering or equivalent
Strong Project Management skills related to certification with the ability to establish track and maintain schedules from multiple suppliers or on multiple projects.
Risk Management skills; ability to review current issues/program status and identify and manage project risks. Apply expertise in certification and testing in problem solving.
· Exceptional organizational skills, self-motivation, a sense of urgency and sensitivity to deadlines, and detail-oriented style are required.
· Ability to work within or lead teams, superior verbal and written communication skills is required.

Engineer

Performs analysis of materials and processes to ensure that processes and materials specified or required are compatible with the design and customer specification. Recommends corrective action based on analysis of material test results; and verifies that proper corrective action has been implemented.
Conducts material searches and research for new materials and material substitutions.

Maintains and controls the material coding system with the company’s information system.
Maintains and controls system of Process Specifications, Material Specifications, and other engineering documents relevant to in-house processing.
Regulates test requirements, and modifies and writes test plans to evaluate the capability of a unit or component in accordance with military, FAA, and Weber specifications.
Assists Process Test Lab technicians in evaluating flammability, chemical, adhesion, corrosion resistance, weight test on anodic samples, surface resistance, peel, shear, degradation from ultra violet light test, etc.
Assist R & D testing and quality assessments.
Initiates purchase orders for suppliers or outside services as required for materials and processes testing.
Sign drawings attesting that all materials specified meet the requirements.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Recommended to have knowledge of FAR’s related to certification of aircraft interiors. Recommend also to have knowledge of airframe manufacturers’ specifications. Needs a working knowledge of reasonable use and care of standard laboratory equipment, as well as production materials and processes. Knowledge of MS Office data processing required.

Education and/or Experience:

Must have a B.S. in Material Science, Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, or Chemistry. Recommend one to three years experience in materials analysis position.
