Description:Heavy Equipment Technician role entails troubleshooting, diagnosing, and efficiently repairing heavy construction equipment in a manner prioritizing safety. Additionally, this position involves conducting essential inspections on various types of equipment.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Independently service and repair assigned vehicles, equipment, and related items without hindering production activities.
- Adhere accurately to the company's preventative maintenance program and service schedule.
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles and equipment to ensure proper operation and condition.
- Identify and resolve mechanical and operational issues through effective troubleshooting and diagnosis.
- Proficiently work on gasoline and/or diesel engines, managing all mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and/or electronic systems.
- Oversee pre-trip and post-trip Inspection Reports, identifying, tracking, and completing necessary repairs and maintenance.
- Document all service and repair work accurately, maintaining comprehensive repair and service reports.
- Fulfill other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance during assigned times.

**Qualifications:**

To perform this job successfully, an individual must meet the following qualifications:

- Minimum high school diploma or general education degree (GED), with a preference for post-secondary training.
- One to three years of related experience preferred.
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), class A with Air Brakes endorsement strongly preferred (not mandatory).

**Work Requirements:**

- Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
- Successful completion of post-offer employment drug testing, medical exams, and physical agility testing.

**Physical Requirements and Work Environment:**

The physical demands and work environment include:

- Regularly required activities such as standing, walking, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, or crawling.
- Ability to repetitively lift 100 pounds and overhead.
- Climbing and dismounting from a high vehicle cab throughout the shift.
- Occasional exposure to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, outside weather conditions, and extreme cold and/or heat.
- Occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals.
- Moderate to loud noise levels in the work environment.
