We are growing and currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Auto/Diesel Truck Technician - Mechanic with expertise in General Motors/Chevy, Dodge, and/or Ford vehicles. The Mobile Diesel Technician - Mechanic will be responsible for traveling to jobsites to repair fleets of vehicles, and/or following our emergency storm response team to ensure equipment is running in optimal condition.
Schedule: 730am-5pm (occasional Saturdays) Job Type: Full-time Pay: $80k-$180k+/yr Benefits: 401(k) matching, Dental insurance, Health insurance, Vision insurance, Paid time off. Experience level: 5 years minimum required. Ability to travel 95% of time. May be traveling for 1 day - 2 week periods. Paid travel/Per Diem, Take-home Company truck, Paid hotels, and more.
Responsibilities- Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on diesel engines including General Motors, Ford, and Dodge - utility trucks.
- Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and resolve complex mechanical and electrical issues. Interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics to guide repair and maintenance procedures.
- Maintain diesel equipment operation by completing inspections and preventive maintenance requirements.
Qualifications:- 5 years of experience working on light to medium duty diesel trucks required.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification from an accredited diesel mechanic program is preferred.
- Cummins, Dodge, Ford or Chevrolet/General Motors experience preferred.
- In-depth knowledge and proficiency of diagnostics and repairs to diesel engines, electrical systems, chassis, transmissions, and emissions components.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and diagnostic codes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in diagnosing and troubleshooting complex issues.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, for interacting with team members and customers.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (for service calls).
Physical Demands and Working Conditions- Skills, adeptness, and speed in the use of fingers, hands and/or limbs on repetitive operation of mechanical or electrical repair shop machines and tools.
- Physical ability to lift and carry objects weighing in excess of 60 pounds.
- Move, load or unload material and parts for trucks and trailers.
